वास्तुशास्त्र के दृष्टिकोण से विचार करते हुए हम आठ दिशाओं को महत्व देते हैं। क्योंकि शास्त्र का मूल दिशा पर अवलंबित है। वैदिक वास्तुशास्त्र में प्रत्येक दिशा का एक विशिष्ट गुणधर्म बताया गया है। पूर्व, पश्चिम, उत्तर एवं दक्षिण मुख्य दिशाएं तथा आग्नेय, नैऋत्य, वायव्य एवं ईशान्य चार उपदिशाएं तथा मध्य में ब्रह्मस्थान है। इसलिए प्रत्येक दिशा का स्वयं का गुणधर्म और स्वभाव विशेष का पता चलता है। किस दिशा में क्या होना चाहिए? क्या नहीं होना चाहिए? इसका मार्गदर्शन दिशाओं से ही मिलता है। अपना जीवन सुखमय बनाने के लिए प्रस्तुत है, वास्तुशास्त्र के महत्वपूर्ण अंग दिशा तथा उनके गुणधर्म की जानकारी।

1. पूर्व दिशा

पूर्व अर्थात प्रथम दर्जे की, उच्च दर्जे की, सर्वोत्तम दिशा। पूर्व दिशा में अंधकार का नाश तथा प्रकाश का प्रारम्भ होता है। 

2. पश्चिम दिशा

पश्चिम अर्थात पीछे की ओर आने वाली दिशा, सूर्यास्त की दिशा, जहां प्रकाश का अन्त और अन्धकार का प्रारम्भ होता है, वह दिशा

3. उत्तर दिशा

उत्तर दिशा कई अर्थों में अपना नाम सार्थक करने वाली दिशा है। इस दिशा में अनेक प्रश्नों का उत्तर प्राप्त होता है। कोई भी प्रश्न समस्या नहीं उत्पन्न करता। हरेक प्रश्न का शीघ्र उत्तर इस दिशा में मिलता है। अष्टलक्ष्मी की धनलक्ष्मी का स्थान इस दिशा में होता है।

4. दक्षिण दिशा

यह ध्रुव सत्य है कि मूल स्वरूप से दक्षिण दिशा अशुभकारी है, किन्तु यह बहुत अच्छी दिशा भी है। दक्षिण अर्थात द-क्षीण अर्थात धीरे-धीरे क्षीण करने वाली दिशा। ऐसे घर में निर्माण से तीन-चार वर्षों तक खूब आमदनी होती है।

सभी दिशाओं का ज्योतिषशास्त्र में किसी ना किसी राशि से संबंध होता है। ऐसे में जहां किसी राशि के लिए कोई दिशा शुभ फलदायी होती है तो वहीं वह दिशा किसी दूसरी राशि के लिए नुकसानदायक हो सकती है।

ऐसे में ज्योतिष व वास्तु के जानकारों का मानना है कि यदि व्यक्ति अपनी राशि के अनुसार लकी दिशा को ध्यान में रखते हुए काम करें तो इसका ना सिर्फ उसकी सेहत पर अच्छा असर होगा, बल्कि वह उसके कॅरियर और पैसों के लिए भी फायदेमंद हो सकता है।

The general method of applying paint to existing painted surfaces is as follows

Filling the cracks

Smoothing it out.

For luster paint Rs 80/sqft

i.e. 1000 X 80 = 80,000/-

For Plastic Paint Rs. 50/sqft

i.e. 1000 X 50 = 50,000/-

For Distemper 35/sqft

i.e. 1000 X 35 = 35,000/-

These pricing may have a variation of (+/-) 10% based on the location, site conditions etc.

But this will give you a idea on how much it should cost you. These costs should include the material and labour.

But a more accurate way to estimate would be if you can measure the surface area where paint is to be applied. It may save you some money as the conversion from built up area to surface are is quiet vague and the contractors usually consider higher factor for conversion. This method will give you the exact amount required for your job.

The rate of of applying paint / sqft surface area are as follows

Luster Rs 25–30/sqft

Plastic paint Rs. 15–20/sqft

Distemper Rs. 10–15/ sqft.

What is the painting cost of a 1000 sqft house?

The amount of paint require will depend on the area. Generally, 30 to 35 litre of paint is required to paint a two-bedroom unit with 1,000 square foot. The price of distemper and emulsion paints for a two-bedroom apartment of 1,000 sqft will be around Rs 12,000 and Rs 16,000, respectively. The per square foot cost of distemper paint is Rs 12 whereas it is Rs.14 for emulsion paints.

Generally, 25 to 30 litres of paint would be required to paint a 2 BHK unit of 1,000 sq ft. In terms of cost, a coat of distemper paint will cost around Rs 10 per sq ft, while a coat of emulsion paint will cost around Rs 15 per sq ft.

Emulsion paint :

This is the good moving material quality in market because of its standard quality at affordable price. This quality is premium than distemper and slightly downer side than royal emulsion due to luster effect. There is a huge cost difference between emulsion paint and royal emulsion. Though cost is huge difference, quality doesn’t make much difference.

White putty:

Prefer white putty to cover needle holes, wall peel off, etc.. For holes of tv mount, ac mount, needle hole, just 1kg is sufficient. Quantity may exceed to more if more wall peel-off.

One or two sandpaper - Use to rub walls to eliminate strains and level uneven surface.

Color: Buy color strainer or mix color at retail shop while buying paint material. I suggest you mix the color at retail shop to avoid manual coloring mistakes. Most of the retailers are equipped with computerized color mixer. Retailers are equipped with color cards, Hence collect the color card and spell the color code to retailer for mixing.
